EMOTION RECOGNITION AND REGULATION
When thinking about emotions, it is important to consider a multi-faceted approach. Emotions can be complicated and confusing. Working with one of our skilled therapists will help the child and family begin to create an emotion-regulation plan to help identify triggers, develop safe and healthy coping skills, and learn effective communication skills to use to elicit confidence within the family structure. All emotions are normal. It is how we experience them and express them that usually can benefit from improvement.
