OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER

Treatment for OCD can be difficult and requires a lot of courage and determination. Having a support network around you, in addition to working closely with your therapist can make all the difference. OCD can occur at any age, but typically can be seen starting around gradeschool, and then also in the late adolescence/early adult years. Research estimates that about one in 100 adults – or between 2 to 3 million adults in the U.S. alone, currently have OCD (that’s roughly the same number of people living in Houston!) Therapy has been shown to be effective for reducing the frequency and intensity of OCD symptoms. Call today to schedule an appointment with one of our clinicians who has expertise in this area.
