SELF-ESTEEM

When it comes to one’s self-esteem and self-worth, it is the degree to which one feels confident, valuable, and worthy of respect from self and others. Those that might be struggling with self-esteem, self-confidence or self-worth may be experiencing beliefs that other people are more deserving of happiness than they are: that they should’ve done something better, that they are not worthy of love, that something is their fault, or that there is nothing to truly like about oneself. When it comes to issues with self-esteem and self-worth or self-confidence, it is non-discriminatory across age, gender, religion, or socioeconomic status. Working with a therapist can be of great help and support in bolstering and increasing self-esteem, self-confidence and self-worth.
